A Grand Day !

Well the all weather racing actually did me a good turn today. Only a few bets to be placed so wasnt expecting much. After running through the card there wasnt anything that i fancied. Equine had a no bet day, as obviously did PP. Bet Catalyst sent out some bets for Sandown, which were then replaced by bets for Southwell as the Sandown meeting was called off.

Follow the Flag in the 12.55 e/w, with Cape Of Storms in the 3.05 e/w, also putting them in an each way double. Feeling a bit braver than normal i put a bit extra on Follow The Flag and it paid off in style as it got up to win at 16/1 and i got 20 on Betfair.
The second part of the double i got at 40/1 with Bet 365, so as you can imagine i was getting excited waiting for it to run, and wandering whether Barbados or St Kitts was my next holiday destination. This race was my only other of the day as Tipping Legends had also chosen the 3.05 for there selection which was Once Upon A Time to win and a reverse forecast of Once Upon A Time/Charles Parnell .

Unfortunately Cape Of Storms faded pretty quickly in the race so my dream double had gone, but luckily Once Upon A Time was storming home. It looked like winning the bet for me trading at 1.10 when another horse came out of the clouds to nick it. I was pretty gutted until i heard it was good old Charles Parnell. I then had to watch the replay to make sure Once Upon A Time had held onto second place which it did-just ! So my reverse forcast came in as well.
So well done JC and Bet Cat for some very astute punting, and to me for clearing over £1000 for the day.
